Updated Information on Muscogee Creek Nation Court Locations for 2025
My name is Ted Hasse. I’m a Muscogee Creek Nation tribal court attorney practicing in federal and tribal courts here in Oklahoma. This is a 2025 update on Muscogee (Creek) Nation court locations.
Recent Developments in Court Location Plans
At the beginning of 2024, the expectation was that a new district court would soon open closer to Tulsa—possibly in Jenks—and perhaps at other locations as well. While it’s possible the Attorney General’s Office may eventually establish an office in Tulsa, at least for now I’m not aware of any new courts opening soon.
Current Court Locations and Facilities
If you have a case with Muscogee Creek Nation, you’ll still need to go to Okmulgee, where the District Court is located. That’s at the Mound Building near the Council Hall. In that building, you’ll find the main courtroom, and outside they’ve also set up a temporary mobile structure to serve as an additional courtroom.
So, while last year it looked like expansion into other locations was imminent, the reality is that—for now—it’s still just Okmulgee, with some expansion of facilities there.
